Switch to electronic giving (auto debit)
Let the parish office know if you would like to use auto debit instead of envelopes for your regular donations to the parish. Here's why it's a good idea.
Of course we're happy to receive your support via an annual lump sum or weekly envelopes as well.
Thank you for your generous contributions to our parish community!
2016 INTERIM BUILDING FUND REPORT
It is apparent at Little Flower that our infrastructure is aging and it is costing a great deal to maintain and upgrade our facilities.
This year (2016) has been an exceptional year. When the budget was set for 2016 the Finance Committee projected expenditures in the Building Fund of $30,000 and revenue of $20,800 which translates into a deficit of $9,200. Over the year the situation has worsened to the point where now we are projecting a deficit of $53,282. The increase in the deficit is a result of a leaking roof, a pigeon infestation and higher than expected costs to replace steam lines.
The only regular source of income that we have going into the Building Fund is interest on the building fund money that is invested. The Little Flower Men's Club also helps us out financially with certain projects.
While we do have sufficient funds in the Building Fund to cover this deficit, the Finance Committee is concerned with the deficit and feels the prudent thing to do is to replace these funds. As the building continues to age, future repairs and maintenance will become much more costly.
Therefore it is important to preserve our current level of reserved funds.
The Men's Club has stepped up to help and has contributed $3,000 toward the painting of the exterior of the rectory and this contribution is greatly appreciated. However, our current situation also requires the support of our parishioners. If you are able to assist us in reducing this deficit please remember that every contribution is greatly appreciated and that no contribution is too small. Can you contribute $25 or $50 or $100 or more??
Little Flower is known as a parish of very generous parishioners who give freely of their time, talent and treasure. Please help us preserve our parish buildings, not only for our own enjoyment, but also for future generations.
Your contribution should be marked "Building Fund" and may be placed in the collection basket or delivered in person to the parish office.
In advance, we say thank you for your prayerful consideration of our appeal.
