Remembering the Faithful Departed

Yesterday evening, Little Flower celebrated the lives of the faithful who have gone before us. Candles were lit -- one in memory of each soul gone to their eternal rest in the past year -- and placed near the altar with the symbolic chair, flowers and wheat sheaf in a beautiful display of remembrance.

Families were invited to join in a light lunch after the celebration.

Special thanks to Social Activities team for the refreshments, and the students and staff at St. Augustine for preparing the very moving video that closed our Mass.

Reconciliation Registration

There's always something exciting happening at Little Flower. This week, children sign up for First Reconciliation while Bonnie Thiele Hunt, our pastoral assistant, looks on.

Social Sundays

We're really enjoying our Social Sundays. On the first Sunday of each month, we have a juice or coffee and donuts with fellow parishioners. We visit with old friends, meet new ones and enjoy a sugary snack before heading home.

On the second and fourth Sundays of the month, there's another opportunity to get social. These events are hosted by our Korean community, and this week they served two kinds of sandwiches with coffee and juice. What a treat not to have to make lunch when we got home from Mass!

I can't say for sure we'll be at every Social Sunday, but getting to know others in our faith family is such a blessing. Thanks to everyone who contributes their time and effort to these events. You're surely doing God's work building our community!
